Abstract

Entrepreneurial education has a critical role in the development of innovation, economic progress, and in-job and self-employment. Nevertheless, the Pakistani education system at the Matriculation level is less practical and still does not have a proper syllabus to develop an entrepreneurial culture. This research aims to determine why implementing the entrepreneurship curriculum at the matric level is highly imperative to enable the students to be knowledgeable about business, critical thinkers, and risk-taking skills. The study, using focus group interviews with teachers and heads of schools, reveals the problems of legalism, the absence of preparation for teachers and instructors, prejudices, and financial limitations. Several international models are compared with those of the United States, China, and India, which include practices of using internships and apprenticeships, mentorship programs, and incubators for new businesses. According to research studies, the enhancement of entrepreneurship education by improving the curriculum, setting practical experience, linking college with the real world, and endorsing policy for change can foster an entrepreneurial mentality among the learners.
